here's some old pics. studio changed again recently and is gonna change tomorrow and over the next 2 weeks as well. shedding some things and reorganizing for better work flow

pic one is when i lived in a studio apt in san diego. had nice light and view. thick walls. high ceilings. was dope but smallish for me and my GF at the time.

pic two is also in san diego and was my last place there. that was my studio/bedroom. no room in there at all. it sucked but that's where i did most of "gossamer" including the mastering. eek.

pic three is here in PDX in my first apt here. it was right next to the kitchen. not at all symmetrical and it was always a mess and cluttered. i don't know how i wrote anything.

i have some much older studio pics where the studio IS actually IN the kitchen. it's funny. need to get a scanner and get them in the computer.

current studio pics are in my virb page.

this pic looks great. definitely a big difference having more room to spread out and organize I'm sure.

Amazing studio shots!! I dig it alot
I really like that tall rack holding the mixer. I'd love to get one of those.
i'm getting inspired to make music just looking at those pics, especially the third one.
Love it!

stevenatius wouldn't let me into that room without going tru a security

great pics. say, is that a signal arts maps-sequencer sitting on the right desk?

if so, how is it?

yghartsyrt - yeah. it is. it's the best midi/cv converter i've ever used. never ever a stuck note. as a sequencer i've jammed w/it some but i'm still trying to figure out the best way to work it in to the set up and take advantage of some of its weirdness. the manual is horrible. not very "how to" oriented. just sort of tells you features w/o much explanation. it is shallow. it's capable of doing some great stuff though.

i'm more productive and have more fun using the monomachine as a midi sequencer. the signal arts will stay but it's not the most intuitive thing to make music with. what's cool about it is triggering multiple sequences at once (on different channels) and you can link any sequence to any other sequence almost like follow actions in live so you can get some unexpected stuff happening.

not true! i let you in after you and steph gave me all the sweet treats! i was just telling someone about that amazing bread you guys gave me.

so you're not giving up music, ignatius? it was you who blogged about that a couple of months ago, right?

cheers ignatius. i always wondered how difficult to use it would be. i had the feeling it might be as complicated as the notron sequencer.
this now qualitfies as one of the most expensive midi2cv-converter. ha.

but the stuff i heard so far coming from this sequencer was really ace.
holy damn that's a nice setup you got ignatius. your current studio looks almost, um, professional or something. you making a living off music these days?

wow. new space looks great.

have you still got the digitech studio quad? - i couldnt see it in your new studio pics
im just starting to use mine- using one of the inputs as a modulation source for the other channels parameters is great

ooh ooh - the quad. theres one in my local stolen gear shop. tempted...

great shots. can I come over?
