--> well, so here is my gear of late, i think it will stay in this form for quite awhile, maybe an upgrade here and there. it's just my ibook, rp5's, firewire audiophile, remotesl, and a naked compact 4 mixer (i took the side plastic panels off to make it look more german/ .. er, to make it smaller. )

and an ikea table =D

cheers.

dope. how are the rokits. been thinking of picking those up.

I just got some rokits myself and I totally dig them.

One thing You might want to mess with is how they're angled in at you.
They should be like 2 points in an equilateral triangle with your head as the third point.

I put mine on some auralex sound pad things to have them isolated from my desk too... it also helps me aim the tweeters directly at my ears.

Nice setup though. Clean.

Very cool!
I dig the setup

nice set-up tim!

Sweet! I have those rockits too, they "rock it".

niiiiice!

I miss the studio pics

so cute and efficient looking. i like it.

i don't get it, but i am german and took those side panels off too

your studio is lacking a mouse, otherwise pretty snazzy
nice clean setup. Looks like you can actually get something done there.

The mouse is most likely on the sliding shelf underneath.

I got rp6's
they're great.
I wish my studio was not cluttered like yours!
I envy the minimalism and utilitarian like nature.

thx all, it is quite minimal, as is my sound these days. right now i find clutter to be really distracting, so i tried to create something that would repel clutter quarks.

regarding the rokit's, yes, i am happy with them, and i do angle them differently at times. for their price they are nice and clear, and not horribly additive.. i need to elevate them a bit.

i do have my eye on those pads, not sure if what i do really justifies spending money on them though, the room i am in is total crap angles and living room space, so it's all a little pointless (aside from hearing what my sound is like in a crappy living room angle-y space..er..)

as far as my mixer being more german looking, well, i just have unreasonable stereotypes and listen to a lot of raster-noton material. i think all germans look like little black lines and dots on a white background. BWEEP BZZT BUPPA BWEEET

i don't use a mouse at this point.

_squeak_

sexy and sleek.

and I love my rp-5's to death. so good.

i agree on the not mouse.
who needs one? apple touch pads work just as well, and you save a usb port and a little processor.

another rp-5 user. they rok!
