--> picked up a tx81z this weekend for 35 bucks via le craigslist and its teh saix... its got bass for weeks, fm drums are kick ass, and 8 voices, each doing there own thing=booya

heres some audio link its all one performance patch sequenced in fruity and recorded in one take.

all this for the price of a parking ticket. my only problem is my editor is shareware that lasts a month, and im not about to resort to using the front panel of this thing. what do yall use for patch editing?

You might already be using it, but TX81Z Programmer is absolutely the best and costs only $20. It makes life with the 81Z so much easier. Plus, when you pay the registration the programmer will possibly send you a nice personalized thank you.

If you want to go free, JSynthLib is limited but works.

I just got one recently too, and share the enthusiasm. Best bang for buck synth eva imo...

I've been using the TX81Z Programmer too and think it's definitely worth the $20. Though I'm lazily trying to work on a Max editor/randomizer for it (should be done by 2010, at this rate )

btw my start up message is "BassHowLowCanUGo", pretty much sums it up...

i just use the buttons on the front

yeah, only real men use the front panel. i've used and edited with the front panel religiously for my past few albums.
