--> the reason 4 and max/msp discussion, as unglory it was, it also had some gems burried deeply within.

astroids idea of probabilities affecting others got me thinkng and i tossed some stuff together in max/msp. which was quite time-consuming because lately i wasn't doing any max-stuff. but as soon as i have sorted some basis out. things went smoothly. the patch is far away from being completed. it's even a joke caling it work in progress.

but i thought, i'd say thanks to scott for inspiring me to this and showing off a little bit, what i already have.

the setup was quite simple.
it's for sequencers. each has its on probabilty for triggers.
but sequencers 1 also triggers a ramp for the probability on seq 2.
sequencers 1 also sends a ramp to seq 3, but this time the ramps doesn't fall, but rises, so that closely to a trigger in seq 1, seq3 isn't triggered.

the probability of seq is also ramp-dependant on seq3 (which is dependant on seq1)

all for seqs trigger a unique operator-unit in live. plus i lightly use my rattatat-patch for controlling some stuff with the operators.

first mp3 is just a plain rendering

the second one also has a bunch of beatrepeats set up in parallel

that's it.

btw. this is not to show how much cooler max/msp is or whatever. just as a representation of a fun saturday evening.

dood. there needs to be some sort of sketchpad ion the em411. where one can scribble ideas with a mouse.

that would make things totally more easy.

love the play between the slap and the bassdrum in your sketch

Dude, suck parameter needs to be adjusted.

JUST KIDDING.

This is all above my head, really.

And I admire both of you for it.

you mean like in video game music?

how to be original... hm thinkthinkthinkthink I GOT IT

i'll fail miserably at making bbcut sound a tenth as good as any track by anyone who's ever used it, and then take a pot-soaked dumper into the 4th generation chiptune re-revolution, all the while while relying on attention gained by boring the internet to a psychotic froth with the same four dumb jokes told over and over again!

lol

lol.. pot soaked dumper!

haaaaaaaaaahahahaha nice picture...psyingo's frat party
