I just got offered a job interview on Thursday next week for the highest paid position that has ever offered me an interview! (19-21k pa)
Unfortunately though i am in Germany next week for STFU Heidelberg and i'm playing a set on the Friday (the day after the possible interview)
I asked if they could reschedule it for the following week when i return but was told that one of the people on the interview panel will be on holiday for 2 weeks then, so i asked if they could interview me this week instead but was told that another of the panel members is on holiday!
So its Thursday or nothing...
My dad being my dad told me to cancel the trip to Germany or at least cut my trip short.
I told him to stfu

Ben, I usually find having a bit of "left hand love" fulfills that wish.
Do the interview Mark - you deserve a good job and earning some decent-ish money means you can come to london because youll be able to afford the visa [and a bar of soap] ;)

I suggest a modification to adcBicycle's approach:
On one hand, count number of jobs in the world minus potential applicants in the world. On the other hand, count number of STFU festivals times number of years that STFU will run.
Choose the one with less fingers.
