--> Just recieved my last synth purchase in the mail. The Analogue Solutions SEMblance, which is based on the Oberheim SEM. I like the sound but the tuning is a little off. Go one octave away from your tuned note and its no longer in tune... something to do with scaling. I hope there's a fix for this... because it'd be a drag to only be able to play lines within a 5-6 note range. Sometimes off tuning can create some nice effects, or make non traditional sounding intervals... but I want to be able to choose that, not be stuck with it :-(
I contacted the manufacturer, and hope to hear some good news.

Otherwise, trying to get rid of a few potentially useful things, which Ive had for years and have never made useful. Guess I had to get honest with myself and admit I dont have the patience to fix/modify electronics... Thats always a nice idea, making use out of discarded gear, instead of putting them in landfills. And Im sure with a little soldering practice and know how I could maybe get them up and running. But for now, the feng shui ... however thats spelled... factor has me wanting to just be rid of excess things, or projects I may or may not start some distant time in the future.

So a Fender sidekick practice amp that had a spring reverb inside, and a Wollensak tape recorder sans power cable that may or may not work but which has tube preamps inside are up for grabs on craigslist soon.

Sounds like your scale trimmer is set wrong.

Should be a VCO calibration method described in the manual.
