--> So I've wanted to do some busking forever and with the recent arrival of a USB-Zip drive, assembling a busking disk for my MPC has become easy enough for my lazy ass to follow through with.

My question is this: What have you done in the past to prep for busking? Do you have ny good tips?

My disc has a bunch of basic parts. Different single waveforms (load uber fast and are versatile), drum hits, bass sounds etc. I like the idea that 100MB of samples could provide infinite possibilities.

Get at me.

Also does anyone have any links to waveform packs in different keys/octaves? I've been making my own but it's tedious as all hell (*see above, I'm lazy)

ive busked 3 times. (years ago)

twice with guitar and once with banjo.
made a few pounds.
ive been thinking about doing it again cos my skillz are better now.
just find a good spot and have patience.

bla's brother busked with a 303. there was a video up somewhere.

GOOD LUCK

The hat is awesome.

I would be too afraid of being mugged, but then I lost faith in humanity ages ago. I agree, the hat is da bomba.

My friend really pissed people off when he setup in the subway blasting samples of the train on his Dr. Sample ... people kept running down there for nothing .... cops came..

ive always wanted to go with me and my freind for some melodica guitar duets. Doing it with electronics sounds insane. fun. insane fun.

that pic is awesome

btw, I dont even know what busking is.
^ performing in public with the idea that they will throw loose change in your hat if you're any good.

Hi ! I'd drop some loose change on you if you were wearing all that and the hat. And I'd definitely do that if you were old, young or maimed.

good one djugel.

mechp. don't do it solo. have a mate with you to keep an eye on the PA and shit

i've busked twice this summer. tried bringing a portable generator and such but find that the less you have to transport/haul onto the bus, the better. the current setup (which changes upon mood and what will fit in my suitcase) is completely battery powered and i usually just play till things die.

various toys
casio cz-101
yamaha cs01
yamaha su-10
boss sp-202
mixer: behringer ubb1002
amp: roland micro cube

how does the microcube sound?

they don't crank .. but they are nice Cube60 right?

Yeah I dunno if I'd wonder around playing an MPC in that hat. It's a mugging waiting to happen.
