Yeah I got the temp ban, for quoting cbit.
cbit used the examples of r a p e and gang r a p e in relation to cigarette smoking.
I quoted him to respond. Now, I'm temp banned.
Sheesh. did he get banned too? doesn't look like it. Police site anyone?
EDIT: So it seems cbit didn't get banned.
so finally we've proved that this is not an automatic script based ban? It must be a mod, picking and choosing here...

Concentrating on the word *APE is the best thing that ever happened to em411.
So what if it's an instant ban word, this site is not the world. To me at least it doesn't have to live up to all virtues.
Yes censorship is terrible! But does banning one word not anyway related and easily bypassed in the discussion about electronic music and culture, really matter that much. And by this I mean that much that we start a lot of mindless blogs about who got banned and done wrong. This is as giving as the who's a troll who's not kind of crap that was going on here sometime ago.

it used to be if the letters r a p e were typed without spaces, you'd get banned.
Now it seems that it was fixed somewhat, to allow people to type words like grapefruit.
Ive been banned for it, jdg has been banned for it, lotsa folks have.
I dont think you were banned and cbit was let off the hook because someone hates you P2. He didn't type the 4 letter word, and maybe you did?

i agree with bot. are you sure you didnt type the 4letter word on its own? in my post i typed 'gang' in front of it which might have bypassed the script..

i got autotbahned for typing "b a n a l g r a p e s t u b g i r l s" in the band name thread. it was most definitely automatic, as it happened in about 1 second. i was not able to put the post up, and was immediately disabled from posting further
