hey, just in case anyone reading is living in central virginia, I wanted to mention that tonight (tuesday), local network television is going to run a 60 second segment on me and plug my show on Friday with Captain Ahab.
channel 17 in Charlottesville, 15 in the Valley. 10 o'clock!
they're pitching doofgoblin to a general audience - what could possibly go wrong?
I'll get it online as soon as I get a copy. our television only receives one channel, when the weather is right, so I'm going to miss it. maybe we'll head down to the bar, see if they'll tune it in. | |

when the station asked me for some clips, I should have sent them this video I made for one of my tunes...the video features this particular station's news anchors shooting lasers out of their eyes and stuff. I should just upload that at some point anyway...

our local alt-weekly has a tuesday night segment on the 10 o'clock news where they highlight an arts event coming up that week.
I've played a bunch of shows here and frankly, there's not a whole lot of live idm or whatever you wanna call it going on in this town, so I kinda stick out, I think. I always promote area shows through that paper too. my name probably just got tossed out there. they got in touch with me

yeah quip, our local tv is pretty conservative too (aren't they all?), but our local weekly paper certainly isn't, and they're the ones who set this up.

what made me laugh is when I read the headline I thought they were calling me the "musical legend," but alas, I had to share the spotlight with Frampton. hahaha.
