--> Hey, I'm going to be visiting my Mom in London next week (9/8-9/15). Is there anything cool happening during that time or anything especially interesting that people here would recommend to do while I'm there?

Im going to be slaying some tourists who have come to town. If you fancy joining in that then feel free. ;)

If you fancy a beer and catching a show/visiting some museums/galleries/getting a tour then drop me a line.

hmmm...no specific places to check out?

theres a good pub on Albert Square.
its full of characters.

I'd visit the Tate Modern, but I'm not you.
I'll be visiting in November, as my ladyfriend is moving there for school.
I've been spending some time scanning the city on Google Earth, and figuring out transit for her. But that doesn't qualify me for giving recommendations.
I say let Zanf show you around a bit. If you don't like him you can just say you lost his number. oops I guess you can't now.

Well my mom lives there, and the last time I was there I went to the tate. I guess I was hoping people might know of cool stuff that is just off the path of things tourists would be sure to do.

Last time I was there I saw the British Museum (the reliefs from the Parthenon were really awesome, I love ancient greek/roman history), I saw the Tate Modern (will probably go again), a Shakespeare play at the Globe, some stuff at random art galleries, and some theater shows (my mom is a fan, and I think it's ok).

Yup, youve definitely done the tourist thing.

What exactly do you want to do? Get into a scrap down the Old Kent Road? Score some rocks from a dealer on the Pepys estate? Fuck some crackwhores in Kings Cross before dumping their fetid corpses in the Regents canal?

if you wanna do some shows, check out whats on at the time at link
if you want some history theres always a good paid walks around town. [jack the ripper walk around Whitechapel and old parts of the city is always good]
if you want some views head up to Greenwich or Alexandra parks or Hampstead Heath during the day [or do the heath at night, if thats your scene]
if you want [touristy] clubs goto fabric or the misery of sound.
if you want not-so-touristy clubs [but full of hoxton electrowankers] then head up to old street

Sorry I wasnt so specific in my first post but Ive lived here all my life, its a fucking big place with loads always going on and Im currently working a very busy job where I dont really get much time to hang out and deliberate loads on every post I make so I just made a general invitation.

now I like this blog

zanf u should come to maine.
