Once as a child you accepted the chart as a scale of greatness. Watch as in the next few months we break that illusion. POPular music knows no bounds. To hell with boundries. The media have set our playlist, the media are the masters. Without the media we would not know how to breathe properly. The pop singer is a lowly being, without soul or backbone. He has a voice that might as well be captured by a vagrant soul. He only knows one promise, that of rags to riches. A life of respectance for his 'unique skills' possibly covering Wet Wet Wet covering the Beatles.. His craft is not the subject, yet his soul is white-washed with thoughts of presidency. Pay attention, wear the correct jeans, your hat is the wrong way around.
Due to the way the music market works these days, most of us have drawn away from its sullied and corrupt viewpoint of talent, and have venture our own paths of taste and style.
Yet, music will always be tainted by the stench of the corporate whoring of the few 'celebrity' 'performers'. Fuck them.
The Bovine Dance Syndrome are working towards making music folk again. Artists of all genres shall unite under the one flag of Neo-Folk. Music was after all the freedom of the people, not the whore of the corporate pimp known as the record industry. If you are fortunate to be a musician, please proclaim your innocence by performing live.
The current climate of technology has seen the uprise of many electronic music artists. These are not to be confused with the automated legions of sample jerks and techno babes. Music IS a conscious effort.
Crucify those pop idols. Burn big brother. Where we are going we won't need them.

Why do we have to fuck em, if you don't like it, why not just not give a shit.
I'd say to me the music industry works as a great source of inspiration in some inverted twisted way. I just love the plastic glamour and wack one hit wonders that would sell their own mother for 15 minutes on the tv.
They make me want to make a different kind of music.

HowTF is playing live going to defeat the record industry? Surely, reclaiming and reorganising the means of production and distribution so you strip them of their power is a much better idea? [already being undertaken with netlabels]
Claiming that the 'way' certain people play their music is killing music or is in league with pop idol style shite is plain fucking daft. Doesnt matter how you play what you play if its a pile of fucking shite to start with. Just sounds like elitist wankers wanting to cordone off music making so people dont get involved.
