Apple would probably try and argue that it's moot since the Powerbook was discontinued in 2005 (or was it 2006?).
Does anybody know where that picture was taken? Norway? I'd like to go there

screens are always measured diagonally as a trick to make them sound bigger
or maybe its a more universal measurement because some screens have different proportions (aspect ratios?)

yeah sorry but screens, ie. televisions, crt monitors, flat crt monitors, touch screen monitors, flat lcd monitors, plasma tvs, old black and white TVs, laptops, lcd viewfinder screens on the side of video cameras, etc. are all measured and have been for a very long time on the diagonal.
old big ugly CRT monitors used to actually lots of times measure from the plastic corner to the plastic corner so a 19" cheap CRT monitor actually had way less than 19" diagonal of screen. once flat screens hit people realized they have less plastic "border" around them and usually a 17" lcd has around the same viewable area as a 19" crt did.

your laptop still massively trumps my viewable image - more pixels, bro. i always gasp when i open my patches on your computer and i have like several inches of real estate on both sides.
