playderecord

um..Steve's (not a record store, they sell instruments etc)

hmm. Not sure on the thrift or surplus downtown. You just want to shop? There are lots of galleries, events etc etc. I think timmo was asking the same thing a while back. Here lemme look it up...
ah here: toronto for timmo
ignore the beer debate and special events and there's some stuff there I think

I had a pretty good time simply walking around randomly. Kensington Market seemed like a good place to find thrift shops and so on. But from the limited time I spent there it seemed like anywhere you walked downtown you couldn't help but find someplace interesting.

hey psy, this too might interset you:
moog audio

that's interest, obviously

Oh yeah! I totally went in there! And I went to a vegan restuarant just west of there a few blocks that had probably the best lemonade ever. Along with the worst "fish" and chips. The other stuff was good though. Oh yeah, and I went bowling at some 24 hour bowling place. Some really interesting people in there.

Active Surplus (on Queen West, southside, between John and Peter Sts. Orange door leads upstairs, look for a picture of a gorilla):
