So here is my last "what should I do in [where ever]" b-log for a while.
What should I do in Minneapolis and/or St. Paul?
The Mall of America with sorority girl/beauty queen co-worker is already planned. As is the laser tag for the abandoned building I'll be working at, doing whatever it is I do. But what else? I'll be there for two weeks. And it better be super duper awesome because I've been out of Portland for 4 weeks and already being on the road for 6 weeks means super duper awesomeness is essential. Bonus points for weird/funny stuff.

Tyrone Guthrie Theatre - see a show or do the backstage tour, at least
Art Museum is tops
I didn't get to do much else when I was there...but that might be a good start

You should call me! I live in Minneapolis!
The Walker art museum is world famous and pretty damn cool if you're in the mood for modern art (plus the giant cherry on a spoon sculpture is in their sculpture garden, which is free to roam around in), or the Minneapolis Institute of Art is free and really dope if you are into older (e.g. pre-1940) art (it's also pretty well know I think and has a huge collection of Asian art and artifacts).
If you're not into art, you could always catch a show at First Avenue, the venue famed for being Prince's old stomping grounds. You could go to a haunted house...we have one in particular that is really cool that is in an actual cave and is a 3/4 of a mile long! There's another that is new this year that is in the unfinished basement of an art gallery that is so gory/scary you have to be 18 to get in and you have to sign a waiver!
You could always visit the historic High Bridge (not really that high) and the beautiful St. Anthony Main/ Mill City area which features good food, nice fall views of the mighty Mississip and a museum made out of a mill that exploded.
If you want to go record digging I could take you to Hymie's my favorite vintage record store that is chock full of character, not to mention good, old records!
I'll send you an emmail with my info.

Awesome guys! Thanks.
Ax man does indeed look awesome!
And it looks like Afrika Bambaataa is playing on the 27th, so that might be cool to check out too.
