A while ago I asked people to review some net labels they like, as general info for visitors to this site. Here's the results:

HIPPOCAMP link
(Contributed by Analog)
With almost 200 free MP3 releases under it's belt, hippocamp is more prolific than most indie labels. Launched in 2000, it's on its third web incarnation, retaining its minimal look and simple interface. The label releases exclusively under the Creative Commons Licence, and fiercly believes in the legal sharing of people's creations. Some of the releases have included videos.
Musical styles are very diverse. Loosely the agenda is experimental. Easier to list some genres, possibly: minimal techno / glitch / micro-house / dub / dubstep / acoustic / breakcore / ambient / DnB / breaks / IDM. The lot really.
Several acts have come to recognition through the site (along with their own hard work) including DNCN, Jim Noir, Jonathan Fisher and Batfinks. Hippocamp has got some press for their compilations like "Hippocamp Ruins Pet Sounds," an album of covers from the Beach Boys' album, tracks inspired by it and the like.
The label runs a monthly showcase in Manchester called Hippocamp Green, focusing on both label regulars and, well, anyone who wants to play. The label does not actively seek press or reviews, though artists are welcome to do so for their own releases if they want. The website features an active discussion board.
Above all the people who run hippocamp and are involved with the label are friendly, open minded and enthusiastic. Based in Manchester, UK with members and contributors globally.

Memory Format link
(Contributed by Delete)
founded in May 2006. Has an almost steady schedule of 1 release every three months. Styles vary but they are mostly different styles of breakbeats, sometimes presenting somehow fresh ideas in musicmaking and sometimes plain good music (imo). Everything on the website is under a Creative Commons license. We have released stuff by both upcoming and established artists. A large scale conceptual and design change is underway, this includes a new website but most importantly some new goals & policies: getting in personal touch with artists & audience (events every week in athens and in europe later on), establishing sources of income (me djing and possibly some other stuff), pressing one or two limited edition cds or vinyls every year (it will be something more than just a cd/vinyl) and selling them at cost + artist share, accepting demos only in electronic form (environmental reasons)[of course high quality mp3s and a digital copy of the info/artwork typically sent with demos will be appreciated] and finally promoting online releases like pro labels do (jdg mastering, promos to mags, release parties etc.). I'm not planning to change the release ratio. Based in athens and run by myself.

Fragment
Fragment is a Russian net-label established in 2005. The label is set to release and promote the deepest and most atmospheric techno music. It is considered to be a tool to conduct the thoughts and ideas of those who write the music to those who listen and appreciate the value of such an artistic expression.
All the music presented on this web site is shared absolutely free. Our artists keep rights on the released material according to the Creative Commons License.
Monotonik
Monotonik is a net.music.label that _exclusively_ releases music online in the mp3 format. All of our releases are freely downloadable and distributable under a Creative Commons license that allows free non-commercial distribution, and we've been releasing .mp3 and .mod files online since May 1996. The label was founded by Simon 'h0l' Carless as an outlet for talented electronic musicians who weren't getting the attention they deserved.
Since then, Monotonik has released over 300 tracks from a variety of talented idm-ish electronic musicians from all over the world, including such artists as Lackluster (DeFocus/Merck), Bogdan Raczynski (Rephlex), Sense (Neo-Ouija), Tim Koch (Surgery/DeFocus), BrothomStates (Warp), Proem (Merck/Hydrant), Fun Tourist (Worm Interface/Sony Finland), Vim! (Surgery/Oggum), and many more.
Tripostal
tripostal (french term you can translate in english by mail sorting) is a free sub-label for the belgian independent physical label carte postale records
tripostal is dedicated to "post-everything-you-want" and emerging sounds be they electronic or acoustic. It's a home for Carte Postale Records's friends, artists we met on the net or in the true life since 2003.
Releases are free to download in mp3 format 192kps (when hosted by archive.org where you can find others formats), 128kps (when hosted by last.fm) but also sometimes 320kps on ftp from us or from friends.
All content on this site is subject to reserved rights of each artist. All tracks are free to download for personnal use and commercial usage is prohibited. All these works are licenced under Creative Commons Licence.
Qunabu the info text is in good engrish:
Qunabu netlabel - the idea comes from two guys from Gdansk who dreamed of promoting an encouraging electronic music and the artists who produces this. Listening to all kinds of this music from the electronic scene, we understand that this is brand church and we concentrate on the DUB side. Our project is a part of a wider idea, the Hatti Vatti foundation, which would like to promote concerts or performances and publishing of co-operating artists.
