<---- pictures of tylth and tylth's currrent "studio"!!!
i now familiarized with my new axiom 49 i was lusting for ever since they came out after selling my 2-octave, nearly 3-year old evolution mk-425 usb/midi controller on ebay.
got me almost 3 days for working and understanding the manual entirely. (i'm slow)
woooohiiieaayy
that thing is dope on so many levels !!! (i can control a lot of stuff in ableton live and fl studio now!!)
there's also a laptop battle i have to attend in roughly one month so i'll have a lot of fun locking myself away making tunes/developing sets in that small blue studio room of mine
that means
- no em411/internet
- no social contact whatsoever
- only ramen noodles for breakfast/dinner
- no activated mobile phone
- no distractions
for at least one month.
okay, maybe i'll come here for fooling around a bit . BUT I'M DEADSERIOÄS aout abouve maentioned stuff!!!sd ASRAK!!!!!!!

the third pic is about to emphasize the dead-seriousness of my endeavour, the fourth about the ability to shoot green arrows off my eyes
wastebasekt, kitten-toilte, guinea-pig cage, everything is gonna be a chamberpot!

yes, axiom is nice. I still havent found uses for all 20 presets (only use 4 so far), but I have them all mapped by midi channel. I might map them to different synths, but that will take some time. havent got into editing zones yet.
here is an idea of how I have used mine in the past:
My first preset is mapped in live to track volume,pan,select-and-arm-rec, and the pads are mutes for the first 8 tracks. basic stuff, but very handy.
One of my presets I am proud of is mapped to a Live chord rack that I made. Pads trigger chords using lowest notes possible, while the keys are for melodies. Faders are mapped to adjust pitch of each pad chord, knobs are to select the chord played for each pad. Obviously I am not a piano player, so this is a fast way for me to build chord progressions, songs. I have so many chords and variations dialed into it! so much fun.

Do. Not. Leave. The. Beer. On. The. Table.
Really. Get into the habit of storing the beer on the floor, or have a short little table, anything really, once it is below the level of the gear.

nice! I have a 25,
sorry for a bit of a hijack, but has anyone figured out how to get it to send midi straight out with going via computer/software then back out again?

yeah the axiom is great, I use it for my Bagger stuff.
My big problem with it is that it seems like you have to wait for this annoying period of time while switching between "presets" or snapshots. I like being able to flip through snapshots quickly, for working on different functions in a live situation, and I really hate this. Maybe i'm doing something wrong?
Anyway, besides that, I love it, very easy to edit, great keyboard action, good software editor. The aftertouch on it feels really juicy.
