sheesh, FINALLY!!!
Release date for the cd is 7th of December, which is very exciting after almost 2 years of work on this thing. Managed to score a Friday night gig for the cd launch at Ric's Bar here in Brisbane, which makes us feel pretty damn good!! ( rics is a pretty well known Brisbane landmark for new music )
features 7 of our own creations, + 2 remix's from Symmetry of Silence and Sub Gusto. We originally had a matching 6 remix's lined up, but felt it made the cd too long and heavy feeling. We are releasing these in turn on the website tho.. you can find one ready for download at link
Covers are hand screen printed by us onto recycled cardboard gatefold sleeves from Stump Town Printers link , which has been a little bit of a mission but has made my screenprinting skills mad.. ;) . Cd's were replicated by Replicat, who gave us the best deal we found anywhere. Mastering was done by JDG @ panic studios, which we were very happy with.
so far its cost us around 1000$ au dollars for this release.. but were pretty happy with the results its kinda strange looking back at it now because these are all our old songs. ( we have so much new material to start recording and releasing )
we wanted to release something that's personal, fragile, and beautiful... Hence the paper cd sleeves. Wanted the cds to be something special rather than the usual plastic disposables that you find, and also more environmentally responsible.
with the recording we went into the studio with the idea of emotion and delivery rather than perfection, trying to capture something of what we sound like live. Not sure we have succeeded but still happy with the results.
were selling these at a measly 10$ au, with a net release happening when we find the right net label ( or decided to do it ourselves )
anyway, if you want to hear some more tracks you can try

yeah australia's slightly odd when it comes to its music.. being very much based in either dance fluff or pub rock..
but under all the crap there are some really really big gems that do sometimes get the attention they deserve.. decoder ring spring to mind..
Brisbane's music scene is actually quite alive and well, with a good flood of dedicated bands doing the rounds... ( its been touted as one of the music citys to watch in the world ) .. problem with Brisbane people is they are lazy.. and wont go to anything outside of the usual precinct / night...
Melbourne ( my old home town ) is certainly with plenty o talent too.. think its just finding your niche and running with it...
but yes, we have done plenty of 12 people gigs..
