--> lol I just got banned for railing on the film "This Film is Not Yet Rated."
I feel so... dirty now.
I just realize that I accidentally used the "r" word while discussing why I did not like that movie. It removed this huge long post about how much I loved documentaries like American Movie and Country Boys because they didn't include an overbearing narrator. The great irony of movies like This Film and "The God Who Wasn't There" are that they attempt to tell you what to think about people who tell you what to think.
Long story short, I accidentally mentioned that I hated "This Films" director for failing to include a counterpoint, and instead including a Jurassic, angry Jack Valenti arguing with a caffeinated permanent adolescent about whether he thinks it's acceptable for his child to go the movie and be shown (ahem) "graphic sexual violence" without a warning. The director says something like "well I guess it would depend on the 8 year old."

You got banned for this?

deltasleep said: ""This Film is Not Yet Rated" was about the least professional, dumbest film I have ever seen. Next to "The God Who Wasn't There." I am so sick of these self-absorbed documentary directors that attack the poor slobs that make some sort of attempt at morality. I respect other people's right to go to jesus camp, and i respect other people's right to start a film regulation agency and censor. But these films just didn't do the slightest bit of respect to the other side- they're completely juvenile and one-sided. Like I need to be told that censors are prudish, or that people that go to Jesus Camp are wackjobs. They would have both been a lot better films if they had just kept their personal vendettas out of the film- and maybe at least made the effort to show me both sides of the issue. Speedo, Off the Charts: The Song-Poem Story, and Country Boys have been my favorite documentaries in the last few years."

Get yer revenge by filling the front page with useless blogs.

Has anyone tried this?

i know i have. it's logical though - how else can u speak but +blog when banned? wtf?

Clarification: I think "(ahem) 'graphic sexual violence'" means the r word. I'm sure D would have said as much, but he's banned from responding to his own blorg, lol!

whut r u a mod?

there's always the edit button, too. in the blogs. not in the posts, broken last i knew.
i dont think you are a true em411'er until you have been banned.

im still waiting for my banning.

who all did pawel call the "ninjaturtles of em411" again?

yeah, I got banned once, just cause I was trying the R-word, haha. well... I got booted off for a day. ta-da

i must be a dumb ass.. because i really dont know what r word your all talking about..

rhubarb?

rap e

it's just a script. a script that puts a temp ban on members for an allotted time for "x" words. it's not some ass that hates deltasleep. not that i'm defending the implementation of the script. i think it's fucking stupid. but we have to beat the script now.

the question is, how do we put an end to this bullshit with temp bans? i guess email bogs.

it's ixnay on the ubtay irlgay, if anyone's forgotten.
