--> i posted a video demo of a chord training tool i'm working on. it's based on the circle of fifths but you can make any chord you really want. if you dial in any major or minor key the note matrix will update so you can play and hear chords that exist in that key from your computer qwerty keyboard. 7th and 9th extensions are indicated with red. you can load whatever sounds you want but i just used sines for the demo.

now anyone can sound like every crappy pop song on the radio! (seriously though, a lot of decent stuff is still based around the circle of 5ths like early radiohead, coldplay, greenday... etc.)

FEEDBACK YO!

sounds like a good idea.

me likey. thanks for sharing

I'd need that.

thx for the feedback.

got another video up in Gm: link

today i worked on the mapping for the lead and bass creator... basically if the note exists in the chord space of the main part, corresponding notes in those banks are activated (load a bank of another instrument an octave up and down). a 2 year old can jam on the keys and be musically relevant! of course you can activate other notes for devilish triads and whatnot. i need some more multisamples of real instruments though. sines are cool but i wanna load up some other things.

btw, if you didn't see in the gootube comments, this is built on vb sampler by evan merz. i added interface stuffs and chord mappings.
