..... looking at the android application vids, it seems like they're going to need a really high powered phone. If they can just shoehorn that into a psp i'd go for it.

i think this move will force gigantic advances in handheld tech. oems can focus on making better/faster hardware, since the os will be open and continuously updated. i'd imagine that there would have to be a central repository of "certified" apps that the average user could just tap into ala ubuntu, but hardcore geeks could still roll their own.

if someone made a basic sequencer that could email midi/audio output, i would hump their leg and they might get some money... or a ringtone community? or an app that automatically uploads all your snapshots to your flickr? or your videos to youtube? $10 million prize money!!!! i wonder how much apple spends on their closed r&d for iphone.
