--> i did a little performance yesterday, there were a few acts playing at a local place, different stuff. i brought my old not working laptop to the gig, and had prepared a cd with sounds; complete with windows startup-sound, and then some of my music.

i started out at around 22.30, a couple of acts had been playing, there were maybe 30 or 40 peoples there. i entered the small stage, put up my laptop, minijack in, hooked up the power, made sure noone could see the (black, dead) screen, "pushed a button", gave a que to soundguy, he started the cd, and after a while the windows startupsound came on the PA, i pretended it was a little bit embarrassing. i waited a little while more, this was windows after all, and then one of my tracks started, and i pretended to be pushing buttons and feeling the music. after maybe four minutes i had prepared a full abrupt complete stop in the music, it came, i looked surprised, "checked the cables", pushed some buttons, fiddled with the trackpad, and after a while the music started again in the middle of the track. i got back on track, started bobbing my head a little bit, but after 3 or 4 minutes, same thing, it just "stopped". same prodecure, and then after some fierce noises, music started again, and i started to behave like i was anxious, or something, not completely happy with the situation.

after 4 new minutes it stopped again, and this was when i snapped, i started punching the keyboard, i lifted the laptop up, threw it to the floor, jumped on it, kicked it, hit it with my fists. i lifted it up by the screen and completely smashed the whole thing on the stage so the keys rained down on us.

it was fun, many in the audience came up afterwards and said they totally bought the whole thing, they seriously thought i actually freaked out and smashed my laptop.
