clive sinclair, inventor of the sinclair spectrum has again decided to tackle the problem of commuting in an overcrowded, overpolluted world. remember his last go? the incredibly badly received sinclair c5?
here's the new one : (the 'A' bike)

That it stands out from the competitors as an "ultra-compact" bike for "short hop" journeys - two miles from home to the Tube or from the train to the office.
Pedals and handlebars mean it is a bike; tiny wheels means it doesn't do distance.
"
lol! so its designed for going from your house to the train, then to yor work! and probably take the same amount of time as walking! (look st the size of those wheels!) with the added 'bonus' of having to carry the thing about and expand/contract it every time you need to use it.
congrats clive, you've done it again! ;)
(failed before even hitting the market, that is)

yeah, if the handling really is as awkward as the test riders make it seem it's actually pretty irresponsible to released the derned thing.

yeah, this has to be a joke. How fast would you have to turn those dinky little wheels to go even mildly close to a regular bicycle?

Wheel size isn't the important factor in bicycle speed, but the RATIO of pedal/gear to wheel/gear.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but when you are travelling fastest on a bicycle, you actually have the SMALLEST gear on the wheel engaged, and the largest on the pedals.
