--> For a while i've been looking for a 'record stop' insert plugin for osx. This evening i managed to cobble a (very simple) AU together using Sonic Birth.

If you'd like to use it, do the following:

1. If you don't already have it, install sonic birth (provides a necessary framework for the plug to work)
link
2. Install the Record Stop SB component
link
3. If you want to tinker with the circuit dload the source file

i love sonic birth! i wish more people would use it.
i built a FSU granular plugin and a resonator plugin for gasp that i use all the time.

yeah sonic birth is quality, i built a granular au in it too. will give this a try later.

Yeah i like it so far! it's a shame that the documentation is so sparse.

Do you know if theres a place that you can dload the example effects as schematics to examine how theyre built? I'll need a bit more knowledge of how this stuff works before i try to build the next thing i'm thinking of.

yeah the documentation is crap. i've searched around a bit, but couldn't find anymore info about it anywhere. maybe try emailing them, i got quite a quick response to a question i asked them when i first downloaded it.

Ive been posting a couple of Qs on the kvr forum which have been answered pretty quickly. Gets a bit old when you have to do that every ten minutes though

Updated it so it has GUI now.

It seems like I can't download the .component, I get to see the contents (as a folder). Perhaps compress it?
Looking forward to have a go at SB myself.

bodo: ah yes of course! I've re-uploaded it as a zip now. Hope it works for you.

I figured out a couple of important things: how to create sub circuits (haha! bravo!) and how to use custom graphics. I prefer building in this type of app than using reaktor somehow..

im glad you posted about this. i keep forgetting sb is open source now and can make audiounits. i played around with it when it was first beta testing. i need to check it out again and make some fun stuff.
