--> I'm finally playing my first live show as Miniature Airlines. It's slightly over one month away from today. And I've just decided to write a new set entirely from scratch.

I can't decide if I'm totally crazy, or if this is the best idea I've ever had. Either way, it's great motivation to get my ass in gear and get some new material ready.

Show details later, for those of you in Seattle who might want to come. And I'll probably end up posting about my live setup, just in case anyone is interested.

That sounds like a great idea, building it up from scratch.
Make sure to record it, and looking forward to hearing your new material as well.

...and looking forward to hearing about your live setup.

Best idea you've ever had, crazy-man.

ya know i'd be there if i could find my jet pack! good luck and HAVE FUN!

not crazy at all. that's what I do 75% of the time (though I've not played live in over a year now). but yeah... almost every show I did was brand new material, and usually done within a week before the venue. your mileage may vary... ;)

yeah, i have mad respect for people who can turn it out like that. i'm usually not one of them, hence the craziness. it's going well so far though!

ambitious man! good luck!

i nearly always do it all the night before
but its usually a bit shit
so put as much time in as you can
but dont worry about it
throwing everything together in a rush can be fun (or horrible)
if you can get yourself to churn stuff out on automatic maybe you can surprise yourself with what you make
