Electronic Music 411 - pi-rem back? - pi-rem, laptop lounge

good to know it's gonna be open! but i think laptop lounge is done for the next few months at least. unless things change? last i heard it was a 3 or so month hiatus...

that's a possibility but i'm sure it will still be on hiatus for a couple months. there are a couple people here in town who were part of laptop lounge from the beginning who could take over but i think a hiatus is a good thing right now. at least through the next chunk of winter months.

Hm. Winter months, I would think, would be good for laptop jockeys to perform... but then... I'm not the one staying out until 4am making sure everything went off smoothly, either.

well, the 1st laptop lounge was every tuesday at the night light lounge on clinton. it went for 1 year solid. then people moved away and others eventually needed a break from doing it every week so it returned as a monthly thanks to LGO and frio and derek and pi-rem so another hiatus seems only natural. savor the good times for a while then when the energy is up and right have another go at it. ;)

winter shminter. every month is good for a laptop jockey to play.

I talked w/ Gandharv about it, and he's thinking about keeping it open like 2-3 days a week (Th-Sat or something like that). I really like Pi-Rem, and I'm glad this plan is going in action. Thanks for posting it Tim, I didn't know it was in the wweek ...

yeah, a regrouping is needed. everyone's so busy right now. i'll be gone from january to june (this started as a three-week trip!), with a two week visit in april, so it's unlikely i'll be able to be part of the next incarnation. but i'd love to see it perpetuate and hear the recordings. hopefully third fridays so i can hit it in april.

speaking of recordings, where is that last one? carlo hint hint? ;)
