--> Well I feel like I'm still a little new to macs and I need a bit of help. I installed the demo for Live 7 a bit ago and I want to remove it. However I'm guessing dragging the folder to the trash just won't cut it with this one, but there isn't any uninstaller. What do I do? Thanks for the help in advance. ( I currently have this issue with a few programs but I figure the answer will be the same for all. )

Dragging it into the Trash normally works for me, but if there are any associated files you might want to try something like AppZapper. Somebody else might be able to suggest other software.

Best of luck.

write to the good folks at Ableton. They will tell you all the folders you should drag to trash. That IS how it's done, btw.

try appdelete, works well for me. it's free.

do a finder search for "ableton" and trash all items.
that's how i "uninstall" stuff...

usually the things you can safely delete (apart from the app itself) reside in the folders /library/application support/COMPANYNAME -- live also installs its library into your /user/music folder that you can delete.

Thanks for all the help guys, I just ended up doing what astroboy said.

try App Zapper. works like a charm.

OSX is sensitive to losing important files, a mess up can keep you from booting up. it would have been better if you just used those freeware/shareware links provided. you may have thrown out more than just Live files. For example if you instal warcraft on your computer and the next day decide to delete it. if you did a spotlight/finder search for all files created by warcraft and threw them out, you would be in trouble cause for some reason warcraft changes the openGL driver to say its created by warcraft.

Shit... I'm really glad I didn't decide to delete warcraft last night. I'll definitely use those programs in the future.

Thats usually how I do it too; the app and then the files associated with it ; application support.
