--> Yo....I've been super busy learning the design game. I'm hoping to become an art director at work so I've been putting in the hours. I come on every now and again and listen and comment but not like I used to.

But, christmas was amazing!!! I got a new laptop. MBP baby (17 inch 2.6)!!! and an Iphone!!! (holy freeking god..it's cool)

But getting all my software squared away is the biggest bitch. I can't find serial #'s to half my shit...but that's another blog for another time.

best christmas ever. How'd you guys do?

mine was chilled out and lovely. I got a Melodica, which is even nicer than I thought it would be. It's so refreshing not having to plug the derned thing in to make music with it! Also got Berlin Alexanderplatz, the great Fassbinder made for TV movie, and an 80 gig iPod classic! Envious of yer iPhone!

we had a pretty mild christmas. 'ariel' bought me a nice doepfer dual sample and hold, and 'i' am getting her a nice massage. also, i bought us a cactus.

i did manage to slap together a nice meal for us, candlelight, debussy...

and the neighbors are on the verge of divorce, screaming through the entirety of christmas eve... the day after christmas saw another sweet brawl, with the woman throwing the guy's ficus over the railing and tearing his awesome gen x skull wreath off their door and depositing it in the yard. unfortunately, i didn't get very good recordings because the wind was crazy.

Playstation 3 with a PS3 "eye" device, some remastered in 5.1 surround Depeche Mode albums, a blu-ray of NIN's Beside You In Time concert... it was a swell holiday here. :D

I would love to get my wife playing an instrument.... maybe next year I'll try giving her a guitar... though I don't think I could beat Strangus's gift to his girlie. How did she like it?

I got a Mac Pro...it was a combination christmas, b-day, college grad gift. I got hooked up with a 22" widescreen monitor and I'm heaven. It's literally 8 times the computer my laptop is.

'Katie' got me a book called "The Book of the Dead" which is a complete history of the zombie. It covers everything from the Haitian folklore that originated the zombie, to pulp fiction of the 20's to a full filmography of every zombie movie ever made and it's impact/implications in the genre and film in general. It's actually quite academic, considering that it's about zombies, but I'm loving it.

iMic made by griffin is $30 and needs no software, its made for ibooks to run audio through usb. its a tiny toggle that has a line in and out (mini jacks). no midi on that little bitch but for that i'd get a Maudio box they are cheap and work with new apple stuff
