excellent! Lots of fun stuff. I could spend a few days in there im sure.

Looks like a true Lab™. Beautiful.

Nifty set-up. I'd be curious to know, in the photo "thedeepelement2.jpg" - bottom-most panel - what's that odd looking dark desktop thing with the 1-octave glowing 'keyboard' imprinted on it in front of the modular rack? I've been to your site or one of your group project pages before but my memory is fuzzy. No doubt late one night...

it all came back - I love your studio series! thank you. but what eeeez that odd box??

That is a x0xb0x, a TB-303 clone. It's actually Justin McGrath's and he let me borrow it for a few months as I've let him borrow my Doepfer for a few months. I was using it as a midi-to-cv interface while mine was getting repaired. It has a limited edition faceplate that cost a couple bucks and for some reason makes that thing sell for a few hundred dollars more on ebay. DIY kit that is a hassle and a half. But here is a funny video that makes a mockery of putting the thing together. link

Info on the x0xbox here: link

great video!

ahh - ok. yes - now I see it (x0xbox). Yeah - I've heard they're not so easy to put together. I've actually met Ladyada a few times. She's good friends with a good friend of mine at MIT. Now that I think about it, my friend, Mat, tested their DIY kit/instructions - 'cause he's handy w/building hardware.

You should get one and trick your friend into making it for you.....

^----- FAB IDEA! But honestly the waiting list is too long, and Mat told me it was a pain for HIM to build. Besides... we're supposed to be working on a hardware sequencer the likes of which no one's seen yet. AFTER he gets his PHD from MIT. any.... day.... now....
