Electronic Music 411 - Mixit 61 is ON

I rarely use the samples I submit in the Mixits I do, I prefer to use other people's samples, as the ones I provide on my own I've either used in something else or just heard too many times as-is to think of them in another way...
So come on, we need a Samarah Mixit(tm)

when is the deadline? sorry, message boards are blocked at my office if it's listed there. i have 2 other remixes i am doing so maybe i'll just throw this in teh fire...have never done one Oo

I uploaded four. I feel like I broke the Universe for it. At the time, there were only a few in, and I thought I was right at the deadline... Forgive me! FORGIVE ME!

Also, I'm having a blast with this so far. I am pleased as punch that someone decided to keep the MixIt alive! Even when my personal work starts to flatten out, the MixIt keeps me working. It is a very nice atmosphere to work in. Regardless of who you are, or what you do, someone will listen to your track, and let you know what they think. What other venue can you compete creatively, get constructive feedback, and hear the same thing interpreted so many different ways. There should be a holiday for the MixIt.

Also, the last two (this one included) have been difficult for me to coax working samples from. This is great, because it really forces you to get creative.

Also, is using Tone Machine in Kontakt bending the rules? I don't even really know how that works...

Until the end of the month for submission deadline. First week of the month is listening to the last month's contributions and time for sample uploads.
