--> Howdy folks - JDG asked me to make a replacement for a patch he lost a while ago, and this is what I came up with. It's a little two grain crude granular droner thinger. Here's what it sounds like on a piano sample JDG gave me: link

my old one had two buffers, and they would layer.. BUT THIS IS IT, MINUS THAT PART. ERIK IS AWESOME

okay last one promise ---

i'm incorporating this patch into a larger setup right now, so I converted it into an easily instantiable abstraction and cleaned it up a bit. it sounds pretty cool with a high jitter rate and two instances of the abstraction: one over the left channel, one over the right channel. i'll post that version too once I get it locked down.
