--> I like delays. I especially like bucket brigade delays and crusty digital ones without menus.

Does anyone have any pointers? I've been combing ebay and there certainly seems to be quite alot on offer from companies I've never heard of before, like Evans, Better and Deltalab, and cannot find stuff on the interwebs on either.

A vintagesynth.org-like resource for old fx boxes would be nice, but barring that, does anyone here have any hints on where to look for information?

Help?

there's a new eventide delay that looks really interesting

eventide timefactor
link

and from what i've heard yet. it's really versatile

plus there's a modeling-version of the space echo from boss, that sounded really sweet. (for an emulation)

Yeah, I've been looking at the RE-20 as well. $250 for a stomp box is pretty steep though. It's irrational, I know, but I'd rather get old and possibly crappy high end stuff than better new equivalents from the low end of the spectrum, for some reason...

The line6 dl4 is very nice. It's a modelling one, but does a great job at it.

ive been looking into this recently too.
i really want a space echo but cannot afford it at the moment.... and there are so many different pedals and old echo chambers on ebay its just overwhelming trying to find out which ones are any good.
think im just gonna have to settle for a plugin emulation for the moment

i use an old echo pet thats analogue.
its amazing i can post some samples is you want.
also i know that the same model was released under the tandy and radio shack brands.

These are all totally new echos. You want cheapo ebay fun crusty pedals?
Ibanez or Maxon AD9 are the old skool styled bbd pedals. Neato liquid sound and they are reissued too.
Memory Man costs $ but the Deluxe version has vibrato that gives you some extra wobble. Highly recommended. Sound just like early Vladislav Delay!
Guyatone Dual Time Delay- has two taps or something. Like the Ibanez, very small form factor. Totally 80ies japan
Digitech multiplay and 1-second sampler- crusty digital delays with infinite repeat that are highly recommended

echo pet is not new. 80s technology dude.

i have two Yamaha E1005 link
they rock, nice warm analog delay with modulation crazy feedback, two mono inputs, and an input jack for an external on/bypass switch.
i bought the first a decade ago for like $40, and the second one like a year ago on eBay for $80....
i meant to say "with modulation and crazy feedback"... i can't edit my post!!!!!

the dod dfx9 is a nice 12bit digital delay that i also love and you can find it for cheaper than the boss digital delay dd-3 (i think, or is dd-5?) which is more or less the same thing. awesome delay with infinite repeat and a feedback tail that's kinda warm like analog but also digitally degrades if you pay close attention to it.

these look pretty good - u.s link link u.k link link true analog delay from chinese company Biyang. here's a video of some thai guy testing it Video

I'm gonna buy one soon so I'll post back with a review sometime.

memory man!
or, if you have $640: moog analog delay.

I second the Yamaha E1005. My friend has one, it's an amazing piece of gear.

I've wanted either a digitech pds20/20 or a pds8000 forever...

Harmony Central>Effects>The Effects Database

Best resource for reviews on effects evar!

Yeah, I'm also a big fan of the Yamaha e1005 - supposedly there's a really easy mod (requiring only a screwdriver) that you can do to extend the delay time... haven't opened mine up yet, though (paid $100 two months ago)
