I've been trying out some ideas for a music video for one of my old tracks "Everywhere Everyone is Happy All the Time". I want to be able to guide the visuals more and tweak some more details in the video, but this I guess is the basic idea.
this is the youtube link (thanks to mr. hecanjog):
and here is the video on my website...better quality but longer download:

I used jitter...the video is a live performance with an audio reactive patch. The video is tweaked and parameters for the algorithms set on the fly via my trigger finger. The visual idea was to figure out how to create a video equivalent of a drone, yet keep it kinetic and textured like the audio. The audio was done in max/msp and cubase with voice and guitar as source material.

Also I'd recommend that higher quality download bryan put up to anyone who can spare the bandwidth - unfortunately a lot of the detail gets lost in the flash compression...

in my opinion it doesn't have to be so artsy. i wouldn't mind a simple video without any effects on it

criticism will be taken well and is encouraged. Thanks for the kind words.
Atum...I'd like to eventually be able to just do video with light or no effects, but right now my sense of visual narrative isn't so great. I'm more familiar with abstract concepts like shape, form, color, and gesture since musicians think in extremely similar terms. Taking the ideas past the abstract, though, and working with them tastefully in a concretely visual medium would require much more study on my part. It's definitely a good idea to work on something more simple like that soon though. Any works that come to mind that you'd suggest checking out?
