it's been a while since i've posted anything about the label i started in 2006, Buried In Time. so here goes a minor update on an upcoming release.
bit-004 V/A - Acid Offspring
what is it? hteah and i have done several jam sessions w/the 606/909/303/fr-revolution and laptop for realtime DSP. several songs will eventually come out of this but there were lot's of left over bits worthy of doing something with. so, i chopped out those parts from various sessions and our own little portland acid mixit was born. everyone had the same samples and everyone did something in their style. so, all the tracks are quite different and all the ones i've heard so far are fucking tops!
once the release comes out there will be a link to a zip file w/all the samples in case anyone else wants to have a go at making a track.
track list not complete yet but artists included so far are:

senor frio
scifisol (or whatever alias she chooses)

dampkrane

did i forget anyone?
after bit-004 i hope, sometime this year, to put out some music by dampkrane and müd either as 2 ep's or a split or who knows what. they each deserve their own releases as their music is kick ass. I'm also hoping i can get enough ignatius material together for a full length and then there's the ignatius-[sik] acid sessions to consider and of course continuous promotion of the first 3 releases (check for ads in The Wire). woo! lot's of music!

i'm stoked on it. all the tracks are so different. some super mellow head noddy and some totally bouncing off the walls. also some nice smooth happy techno too and some darker techy stuff. gonna be fun to figure out the track order that's for certain.
