--> this morning, I was snuggleing with my wife, and she suggested I talk to the baby. I thought, "ok that's cool".
after saying a few mildly inapropriate things to judah "the fetus" verchot to make my wife make the face that can be appropriately described as "bemused-squinty eyes", I asked him if he liked techno, and to kick once for yes.

to my wife's mild disagreement and amazement, he kicked.

This called for an experiment. I got out the ol' er-1mkII and plugged my sony vj-whatever headphones in and we pressed the speakers against her gut.
making sure it was not too loud, I did a little 2 min jam, and janette says judah went nuts.
he did that the other night when I was listening to hank williams as well!

I think he's gonna be alright...

NOTE: the title of the blog is because I noticed the similarities between our 2 blogs. and how irrely similar the comments were

there is some serious low pass filtering happening in a womb

with all the flesh around and womb juice

LOL @ womb pass filter

btw, please don't compare your baby to a hunk of wood.

That's mean

Hopefully listening to music will make your son's speeling eerily better than anyone on em411.

whew!

one of you software doods pls write a wombpass filter VST...

my urban son versus shitaki mushrooms

fight!

I wrote a bunch of stuff to play for my oldest son during my pregnancy. It was mostly soothing melodies with tempo changes and crescendos to spice it up. He turned out to be really nosy and dramatic so either my loops suck or my parenting sucks.

Doodz....srsly: link

You need to have your wife swallow a beep emitter, and a field recorder, and have your unborn child score us an impulse for our IR reverbs.
