some of the pix are blurry because my camera is dying (venerable canon SD400 has served me well).

The black box you see with the yellow patch cord is psyingo's FZ-Bulb! it works great, been using it with much success with my various contact mics.

The other breadboard/controller thing there in the middle is my homebuilt 3-oscillator/2-pole-filter synth.

you can hear what i've created on a Sounding album I call "Tangent": link

there she is!

nice synth!

whats the other stuff? that blue rack thing kinda looks like an akai but im probably wrong

i think i have the same mixer.

here's the equipment list:

behringer xenyx 1622 mixer
my synth
FZ-Bulb
boss PS-3 delay
boss AW-3 dynamic wah
alesis quadraverb
electrix repeater (the 'blue rack thing')
line6 DL4 delay

sounding great - its lovely the FZ-Bulb being put to such good use

awesome looking setup, even though I don't understand what that breadboard and all those cables do...

Right on, beautiful setup!
I have the Electrix vocoder and love it. But I always wanted to grab up the electrix repeater as well.
Very cool photo.

ricemutt, the breadboard is my homebuilt synth, it contains several timer and opamp chips - controlled with knobs and switches - to create two variable-pitch/formant sounds.

aaaaah i would LOVE to get my hands on more electrix gear - i want the vocoder and the filterbank!!! i have the repeater, the mo-fx and the eq.
Be very careful gigging with that, craque...I'm just worried about drunken fratboys and beer around that beautiful stuff, esp your homemade synth

heh thanks roshi...

i actually have good experience using this kind of highly-fragile rig in a live setting (been doing so for >10 years now), and one thing i will never do is use it in a 'dance music' environment where said frat boys may congregate.

I love the music from the "tangent" release, funny thing though, is my music player is using an image for an album called "confidential doowop vol.5, take a chance on doo wop"

LOL that is AWESOME

what's that cute little tapedeck looking thing below the gold stompbox?

a pocket shortwave radio

yeah i was wondering what that was too.

Nice stuff!
