Well it's been awhile since I was able to spend any free time reading EM411 or spend anytime in the studio. However, I'm back now!
Work had kept me so busy (20 hr days 7 days a week) that all I did was work, eat, and sleep. Nothing else. I'm getting too old for this ...
.. anyway, I'm back. Like anyone actually noticed I was gone in the first place :P

whats your job, you make it sound like you work @ a steel forgery. i would love getting paid 120 hours of time and a half "overtime pay". tell me youre not working more than 40hrs a week and not getting paid properly. what was your monicker here before? when did you join here? i don't remember you at all

yeah, I had been a lurker for many years, then started posting a year or so back ... then well ... my job got in the way. I'm a software developer and unfortunately I only get paid salary (and my 22% of the profits each year for my part ownership). So, yeah, lots of extra cash to spend. Not sure what to spend it on right now though since I pretty much have all the gear I can handle right now ... plus it's been neglected for so long it's like new gear all over again for me.

haha ... yeah, i know gear lust and all ... most of the gear I want I can't find ... right now I would *love* to get my hands on a Crumar bit 99 or 01. But in the last 2 years I have only ever seen ONE go up on e-bay or vintage synth.

What kind of software do you develop? Ever produce any audio toys/tools?
Youll soon get over the 'old gear feels new'. Its like being away from a GF for a while and then soon after the honeymoon period is over when she does her annoying habit of leaving her dirty knickers on the floor or not rinsing the cutlery of bubbles after washing up so that you just want to stab her in the head!
Maybe even post on VS or SoS readers ads under wanted for the Crumar and maybe someone might be up for selling one. Create your own opportunity type thingy.
