funny...I was all stoked when I read about this on the renoise forum, and it inspired me to get back into renoise, but I haven't actually booted into ubuntu since.

same here LOL am doing it now - in a very round about way :X

i <3 it, it's a demo - must buy meh copie fo wave but if demo can jack than omg why bother? LOL it works exactly like windows ver (only more plugins lol)...

WHA NO TRANSPORT?! :'( what's the point? le sigh... if i got it if i buy it i'd do it, hmmmmmmmmmm

now, anybody know any tiny fun sound things i could run on a 2G eeepc?

how about milkytracker?
Recent blogs: Japan tokyo, kyoto, hokkaido

delta: i don't know the specs of that machine, but it should be generally unlimited in terms of "tiny fun sound things."

like to program? modular synthesis? like tracking? live looping (lots of different fun little tools)... anything in particular?

Render Selection to Sample

+1. it's a great oldschool style tracker and it should run smoooth like butta on the Eee.

render selection to sample is quite a different animal than transport control, yes? ;D but in that case, simply routing the audio would prolly be preferred, if u wanted to mixdown elements into tracks. still, starting and stopping not being sync'd between hosts cuz renoise doesn't support the jack transport, afaict, sux...

I'll be sure to look up that milkytracker then.
My specs:
2GB SSD
512MB Ram
600Mhz single core Centrino
Xandros
tiny green cuteness
