--> So, it took me a while to figure out how to create a direct link to my tune, but finally got there... most hosting sites don't seem to supply a direct link. Anyways, just in case I've still messed it up, check out my tune if you get a chance by following this link: link Comments would be appreciated. Most importantly, IS THIS ELECTRONIC MUSIC? I use synths, and a computer, but also obviously use guitars and stuff too. Am I in the wrong place??? Many Thanks. Mat

youre not in the wrong place. your first track is incredible. plenty of conversations about everything here.

Thanks man: was just reading your piece about myspace... you know hits per day and all that baloney really seem a bit pointless to me. I just wana get my music out there. Wots your myspace URL? I'll give your stuff a listen. Thanks for the positive words.

networking with fans, musicians, promoters and reviewers is not pointless. The main reason for it, is like you said " to get your music out there". Maybe you are too young to remember an internet without myspace, but before it was a lot harder for a novice artist to promote their music. Myspace provides free audio and video hosting, and also it brokers your music and merchandise. you say its a bunch of baloney, i don't agree.

i remember and internet with no web

I'm old enough to remember recording with a 4 track, so yes, I know what important changes there have been for musicians over the last 10 years. I'm not knocking myspace, I'm knocking people who think that the number of hits you get and the number of friends you have is a direct reflection on how good your music is. I havent got a problem with networking. I just got a problem with friend collectors. Those people never listen to your music. They don't even like your music. They just blindly accept your request, and never think of you again. No offence to you atum: each to their own, and I'm sorry if I did cause offence. I certainly didn't mean any, and this is just my opinion. Anyway, this is just my long winded way of saying that I think myspace is great! Hoorah for modern technology!

no offense taken, and no offence taken either. to add to the problem when a music page gets 10,000 friends the addtional friend requests are added automatically.

I You

Aw shucks!

You're not serious are you?!?

Jeez. I remember a time without computers! A time without GPS, Mobile Phones, Microwave Ovens, Dishwashers, when the only kinda camera you could get took 35mm film and where a big TV was definately NOT the size of the lounge wall! I remember a time when people went for walks to entertain themselves instead of switching on their Wii's and I tell you wot, my son, I miss those times. Too Fucn much for my liking. I'm a grumpy ol man b4 my time.

now i know we'll get a long.
