i'm not in berlin, hence i'd suggest the usual:
learn german (volkshochschulkurse?), get newspapers, get out and ask at places in person and
maybe you can become a english teacher for pupils (nachhilfelehrer)

Good luck mate. I've heard unemployment in Berlin's as high as 20% so you might be hard pressed...

Looks like I may have to intensively undertake a 10 day tefl course for 200 bucks and then be an english teacher.
