--> I was making some new live-presets for my MPD24
to be used with Reason, when I found out that
the MPD sends (and also receives) midi sysex-data on all of the "Preset", "Edit",
"Global" etc button-events. The librarians / editors (I use VyZex)
use this feature to sync the current preset on the mpd with the
preset being edited on the computer. (when you switch banks in the software,
they change in sync in the mpd and vice versa).

However, the MPD's "native mode" (?) needs to be enabled in order
to transfer all the sysex-messages in Reason- so I copied the midi data sent
by VyZex-editor to the reason's mpd24 remote script file
and it's working quite ok.

Does anyone have more experience on remote-scripting on reason?
I would really like to make the LCD-screen to show custom stuff
when playing live with reason
(for example the song-position / currently selected track / etc)

Reason sends this kind of data according to other remote-scripts
found in the "props/remote/lua codecs" folder, so all it would
take is some nice functions to convert text into hex and mpd's
lcd-screen.

the script can be downloaded at link

ps. when you look at mpd24-lcd screen very close,
you notice letters "BPM" under the numbers used
to show midi channel. this is perhaps a planned but
unused tempo-feature? (that is featured in the new MPD32)
