If i was going, which i'm not unfortunately. I'd go see Grouper, Valet and White Rainbow on Friday night.

If anyone is going, please make sure you check out The Chandeliers and The Killer Whales, which are djugel and jarvis's bands, and probably the best live electronic mixed music out.

damn, white rainbow is playing exactly when you are friday night, otherwise i would have seconded that recommendation.

i just looked through the schedule a bit, and if you miss this discussion between Steve Reich and Thurston Moore you can expect a very stern finger wagging! link

This panel on 'the blog factor' seems like it might be cool too, the guy from perfect sound forever is moderating:

im going to be out on saturday for flatstock:

we go to it every year during sxsw. your show on ceasar chavez is like right next to the convention center. actually i think that is the address for the convention center, but as such that probably isn't a free show those of us without badges or wristbands probably can't get in. you should check out flatstock though, its awesome and free!

also what is your band?

also djugz and jarvis should totally post there shows here so people might be able to check them out. during sxsw there is like a billion shows going on all day every day. its insanity.

last year we went for a few days and saw lots of shows it was awesome.

i saw a few free shows...but not much electronic music. then again, i'm cheap and didn't buy a wristband/badge

God, I had a hard enough time keeping up with Canadian Music Week, which was about 450 bands over 4 days. I'd go absolutely mental at SXSW.
