If I happen to make it back to a girl's room .. that I don't really know... first thing I do is look at their CD's casually and see if they have Portishead. If they do .. then we make out by the 2nd or 3rd song.
As for smarter girls. Book of Love does the trick..

its has a cool sound to it, but not a whole lot going on with the song. I would love to hear the album when it comes out, though.

lol...their mixes have always been strange and unbalanced sounding to me.

the album is pretty good, a lot more diverse than there previous work
i like it, and agree that the mixing is (still) a bit off, sometimes it works for them, though

Portishead and crappy metallic hardcore. That's basically the entire 90's for me.

actually portishead is a perfect blend of jazzy/lounge vocals accompanied by amazingly smooth bass and the occoasional electronic effect or record scratching. its one of the best things to come out of the 90s.

you should just pack a CD with your fav portishead songs along with your pack of rubbers and breath mints...

I liked it... although I was expecting the T1000 to appear at the end when the synth strings came in.
