--> The only constant is change,

while I was pretty surprised about the nature of change, when I first heard that saying from a Professor of mine way back in time when I was studying, I think in the last couple of weeks I got into the deeper meaning of it.

Things changed: I planned not to do a Laptopbattle anymore! But hey, this time I could not resist. A really cool guy from Naples contacted me and asked me to help him out organizing a Laptopbattle in Naples/Italy.

First I thought he is kidding or something. But then we met in Berlin and soon he invited me to visit him in Naples. I am just back from a 6 day trip to Naples and I have to admit that Naples is a very nice city!

While in Naples we set up his test Website, which will be going live soon. Anybody interested in beta testing our Website: please check out

We are looking for you feedback! The Battle is planned to happen in September 2008. Anybody feeling like playing in Naples/Italy is welcome to send us demos.

I am pretty sure that the Battle in Naples will rock!

Ah, uh, and as a side note. While in Naples, I figured out that Autechre is playing live in Rome and made a short but very intense trip to Rome, too!

Looking forward for your feedbacks!

[UPDATE] The site is available in Italian, English, and German:

way to go! make another few in germany too! don't give up, sooner or later it'll pay out in some way

“There is nothing wrong with change, if it is in the right direction”

Heh, tylth. The fun part of change is that in upfront you don't know of a "right" direction. In fact, what is wrong today turnes out pretty right later, sometimes!

Anyway, for Germany I plan either Frankfurt or Stuttgart or both. But I need help with it. Organizing such a huge Battle on my own, is a pretty demanding and exhausting "hobby".

However, the Naples trip gave me quite a kick and I am looking forward to get enough feedback to start another Battle in Germany.

site looks good exept it beeing completely italian and me being, well, not

what sort of feedback are you looking for hakan?

tylth, we have Italian/English/German translation of the site. Just check the upper left part of the site for the language switch

Feedback we are looking for is whether there are some obvious stupid bugs or some annoying layout problems. Whether it works on your browser or not. We have tested Firefox, Safari, and IE 6.0 so far.

ah i can see now! seems to work fine on my safari ibook, the font in the menues on the right side looks a bit narrow though, doesn't it

site seems to be working fine on opera.

the owner of the venue where we had stfu athens told me that he was interested in organizing a laptop battle here as well. would you be interested in that?

Ok, have to check it with Safari. I have a rather unusual setup here with 1920x1200 on my main work station. Increasing the font size is rather easy, though. Thanks for your feeback!

@delete: I would love to help out with a Laptopbattle in Athens! (My secret plan is to organize a European wide Laptopbattle with eight different cities Just contact me!
hakan that's awesome! really glad you put up all that energy, that's really ace I saw autechre on tuesday, that was intense

"You've got 3 minutes to move the crowd with your live music skills behind the »qwerty« and convince the judges you should be the last one standing."

i dont really understand the »qwerty« part. u mean keyboard?

how about a laptop battle, in a dirty alley in saint louis?

"qwerty" means here your laptop and the keyboard. The word laptop is used alot through the text, so we thought to use a cryptic synonym for it.

At least, the sentence works. It makes you think, and it made you write a question.

great stuff. you are really up to something.

and concerning the article. check your mail.

cool
that italian tho is.... funny
Recent blogs: first blog!

Sorry, but I speak no Italian. The Italian translation was done by Achille from Naples. Maybe his southern Italian sounds a bit different? If you have any suggestions, please let me know!
