hello.
i'm back. ok at least for some hours. like 2 or something. i found a cafe with a free internet wifi.
my life at the new flat sucks. the woman who is the landlord sucks big time. i feel like i'm 16 again and still live at home. but only worse.
there are something like 4 different sponges for wipping the floor. i'm not allowed to keep the windows open, while i'm away. she goes into my room when i'm not there. stuff like that.
but jobwise it's really great. nice people and it's really fun. the ultimate geekness.
feels good to visit the em again.
just wanted to drop by and say HELLO

I left home 20 years ago and only a few times have I lived with people who are cool - and they have, at times, got right on my nerves just as I have theirs. I'm a right stickler for privacy though - it really fucks me off when people are insecure/jealous/nosey that they feel they have the right to violate your privacy and go sifting through your stuff.
Glad to hear the job is good though - get looking for another flat though.

I had a landlord exactly like that once. When my sister came to visit for a few days nosey Mrs. Devivo couldn't see the resemblence between us and thought we were up to some hanky panky. She met me in the hall one day when I was returning from work (apparently she was cleaning my front door in wait) and told me she did not approve of my visitors, and especially if they were staying for long periods of time. She basically told me only my mother and father were allowed to visit for more than 4 hours.
And also she told me not to leave the windows open as well! Oh, Mrs. Devivo was such a racist on top of everything else... she was full of stories about the neighbor's young Italian daughter and her devilish rebelious streak... how she had a "negro" boyfriend and how they had purposely tried to kill her dog by throwing fried chicken bones into her backyard for her dog to choke on. "You saw them do this?" I asked. "No, but... fried chicken... come on... everyone knows the negros eat that all the time!" was her response. I was shocked, and told her respectfully that she was completely off base with that.
I think you just have to set your ground rules, y. I mean.... you are paying her, right? Be firm and tell her that you are willing to close the windows when you are gone but that your privacy is of upmost importance and that you will need your room to be off limits to anybody other than yourself or your own guests.
grrrr... And DON'T pay your last month's rent if you have one month's security deposit with them. You will never get that back.

yogurtsynth; i am glad you are moving because if you weren't.... I WOULD TELL YOU TO MOVE. that sounds funny and extreemly annoying aggrivating and angering. but in years you could look back on it and laugh and make a sitcom about it.

*Maybe* if you're living with the landlady and your room door has no lock then there's no law. Just as I imagine there's no law against you going into her bedroom (if you't want that).
My old landlady was obsessed with hygene. At the time I thought I was quite obsessed with it too, but then I moved into her flat (not for long). She moaned that the kitchen was untidy while I was cooking. I'm quite a tidy cook, I don't throw stuff about -but even still, I was like hang on -don't you cook first, then eat and then clean? moan moan moan....
I did as Fredo said with her, waited 'til the last day of the (paying) month, then just left in the night, like some kinda ninja. Being, as I was, pretty much confident that I'd have to fight to get my bond back (she was welll arsey).
You get some morons like that from time to time. Makes you wonder why they bother having someone living in their house first place. What everyone wants, is something like Filarion's place = top banana.
I remember your blog about moving away now. I think I said something about your homelife affecting how you feel about the place. So I'm chiming in with Psyingo...probably just a good idea to move out (if you can afford it at the moment). At least your job is good fun, I'd say that's harder to find.

nice these words.
yeah i tok some photos of the whole stuff. hopefully i'll find time, to put them on my puter. that whole place looks hilarious. it's totally clean, like uber clean and messed up with tons of piles of tons of shit. like morethan 50 magazines piled upon each other....
i think, though it's really annoying i can look at it and laugh...
luckily it's not affecting that much my mood.
but i'm really happy, when i switch the flat....
my landlady is not as racist as yours fredo, but she told me a story, that left me some really puzzled feelings, as she told, that her grand-parents got this flat really cheap in 1936. i was wtf? and about to tell her that my actual name is rosenbaum or something like that.

just took my computers with me, when i moved. and some clothes to wear. all the other stuff is at my old place, as my brother moved into my flat back in the other city, so i dumped everything in the cellar
