i've always liked dinosaur jr's cover of just like heaven better than the cures.

hmm, their cover of "show me the way" too, can't stand pframpton's original. while i am at it i think their version of quicksand is better than bowies.

oh and um, definitely billy corgan's cover of landslide. thats way better than the og.

yeah i just found those and listened. cool stuff. ran across this too. not sure yet if its better than the original, but this tina turner cover of whole lotta love is pretty damn awesome.

also not sure if it counts but as a "cover" but i have a henry mancini conducted version of herbie hancock's "butterfly" on some record i bought last time i went diggin, that is really really good.
