--> Today I had an interview for a teaching course, to become a teacher of English Literature at Further Education (college) level.
I was really nervous - sweaty palms, sweaty plums - but my interview must have gone well cos they offered me a place.
I start in September! One chufty badge heading in my direction.

If anyone's out in Manchester tonight and wants to help me celebrate I'll be at Levenshulme Klondyke Club watching Temperatures link

Toodle pip!

(in future please put up your hand if you're going to ask a question)

Congrats! You realize of course that this means you're no longer allowed to use improper grammar or spelling here. What would your students think?? ;)

congrats, sir! i guess you already have a pipe, steel-framed glasses, a lightly scruffy beard, a worn-out cord jacket with leather patches on the elbows and a vocabulary of awesome complicated words like "hyphroextranularism" ? <- made this one up [happy}

lol.

congrats.
i played with the thought of becomeing a teacher, but i guess i'm quite a bit too impatient and sometimes it's quite hard to control the impatience.

i've done a fair amount of teaching younger pupils some extra lesson (dun't know the exact word) it drove me nuts.

but if you like it, it'll be ace. my dad for example loves it
