Greetings from Romania,
On my 28th birthday I made the unusual decision to travel to Romania for a holiday, as you do...the last few days I've spent wandering around the city. Today was the Romanian Easter, which is a big deal here (like xmas) and we made it to a cemetery looking for Nicolae Ceauşescu's grave, (again, as you do...) but were surprised to find that there were a large number of police/military/body guards/begging Roma hanging about outside and lots of people drinking booze and having barbecues on their relatives grave inside! It was a strange truly bizarre experience! Alas I didn't take any pictures as it was a bit of an intimidating atmosphere, but at least we saw it!
So that was today, tonight we sat in the Hilton drinking beer and cocktails when who's ass should appear next to my ear, but none other than Woody Harrelson's! Yep, we can confirm it was him, as all his buddy's addressed him as a Woody and a quick visit to imdb confirms that he is appearing in a movie filmed in Bucharest link
ps my girlfriends dad spotted Demi Moore in the Hilton last week, so there you go...
Tomorrow we visit Translyvania, wish me luck! | |
