--> More DS fun!! New Nitrotracker verision is in the works.

I've been helping test (playing) with the beta.
The new features include:

- Channel mute/solo
- Volume envelopes
- Multi-Sample instruments
- Sample Looping (forward and ping-pong)
- Samples take up half the RAM they did before
- Added mute/unmute all buttons
- Added a slider to the top screen for changing the note volume
- There's more but these are the top ones for me.

Seems to be really stable. I've been unable to crash it so far

The being able to set loop points on samples is great. Makes all the samples I've loaded so far much more usable.
My personal favorite is the envelopes. Mutiple-sample instruments is nice but seems to use up resources fairly quickly(load more samples use more RAM makes sense).

The biggest one for me is the ability to change note volume. That was one of my biggest gripes.

Can't wait to see what the final verision is like. It coming together really well and honored to be able to help beta test it.

I've been playing around with it a lot recently to kill time and can't wait for this/future releases.

Mute/solo, looping, and multi-sample instruments rock, but what I really want is quantized patten selection and midi clock sync. Regardless this is great news, I'm just greedy.

Thanks for the info...

my prayers have been answered.
oh that is so great.

nice to see it finally get an update but still no effects commands?

Yeah I'm one of those greedy bastards that were hoping for some fx commands as well.

Hey you, yes you there with the C plus plus skills and this vast amount of spare time you just don't know how to fill!

Are you annoyed by the playback quality of NitroTracker, and especially by it's utter lack of even the most important XM effects? Do you hate it not being able to load mod or it or s3m? Would you really like to be able to save your instruments to .wav? There's a simple solution to that: Implement it!

NitroTracker's playback engine libntxm is an open source project and I'm searching for developers who want to help me make it an awesome full-featured DS tracker library.

You can check out the source at the libntxm project page. If you want to help out, send me a PM or an e-mail describing what you want to do so I can avoid collisions in development, and then just start hacking. You will be in the league of extraordinary NitroTracker developers and everyone will like you. Sound good? What are you waiting for then?

Looking forward to hearing from you!

All the best!
