--> i got a refurbed macbook pro. it's so nice and pristine and fast. my old powerbook was having some serious hd issues while i was on my "tour" (mostly i faked my way through them- oh such stress at stfu athens) and it was down to either replacing the hd or getting a new laptop. and since i haven't been able to upgrade live or reason cause i was afraid they wouldn't run good, it was time to get a new computer. so yay! it's all empty now, but i have a show this sunday so i'm gonna have to fill it up with some sounds. backing up the old powerbook as i write- but lots of corrupt files.

i have 2 shows coming up actually- one with mochipet and one with venetian snares. booyah! and i'm gonna try to play some summer festivals in these parts if i can.

i haven't been writing any music lately though- just one on the aeroplane last month. it's sad- hopefully that will change now that i have this new laptop! yay!

i also haven't been here much- well i have but it's all been lurky. dunno why. so, how are you?

ps. i love the magnetic plug. yes, it's a simple thing, but considering that my powerbook has a massive dented corner cause of tripping over power cables, this is rad. ah simple pleasures.

hey jen nice - i got a macbook. i love mine too!
no more dropouts!

so we can raise hell next time we play.
was bigging you up to snares at the weekend. good luck!

as mustached freddie would say if he was alive:

[bada boom boom boom]
another one buys the mac
[boom boom boom]
another one buys the mac
and another one bu
and another one bu
another one buys the mac

yay for new lappy. congrats on the gigs.

i liked my magnetic plug on my mbp too until the cord frayed over a period of about 6 months due to poorly designed strain relief. $100 replacement. seems to be holding up though.

i now can't live without a mighty mouse though.

i'm coming to vancouver in september!!!!

my powerbook had a pretty big dent in it as well. as soon as I got the new one I tripped over the cable and nothing happened.

congrats on the machine. they're the business.

also that's great about the shows.

yay for new laptops!

the magnetic power plug is great! a friend of mine (who is not an apple fan) said "i don't know what the big deal is... they've had those on counter-top deep fryers for years"

thank might be true... but it's harder to make beats on deep fryer

mmmm. deep fried beets

Woo hoo 4 the new laptop! Now you better kick venetian snare's ass!!! Play more deep fried beets w/ powdered sugar on top!

Cool! I hope you enjoy your new computer. Wifey got a MacBook Pro for work recently and it's lovely, though she's not a big fan of the magnetic plug.
deep fried beets? that might actually make them taste good.

minisystem for real? if you need a place to stay just lemme know. we have a nice extra room now.

tonight i migrate the mail and prefs and all that over. and then it's all good to go!

thanks ben for the big ups!

woooooooo!

im coming up to vancovuer tomorow, can i stay in the room?
might stay for months

tomorrow? sure, there's boxes in there though. by july they will be gone.

good for you. show w/the snares! awesome. should have a nice turn out for that. i'd like a MBpro sometime. maybe next year. we'll see how long the PC laptop holds up. so far so good. i'd have to go bootcamp and XP to get audiomulch use out of a mac. maybe i should track down my windows XP disc before i can't find it anymore.

if you're lucky, i'll be gone by july.

i totally think apple should have done the magnetic plug long ago. i manage to somehow pull the plug out of my ibook several times a day.
