--> Hey guys,

So we've been tearing our hair out trying to get this tour booked for June, and we're awfully close to it straight up not happening. We have committed dates in New Orleans (thanks to AllThatFall!) but Every Other Stop is Open. Every one.

So here's my plea. If you live in the following area and you have a basement with a makeshift PA or even just an amp to plug into, we'd like to play for free. I just want to play, I'm sick of promoters ignoring my emails and all the bullshit we've been dealing with. Lets do this. House party!

These are our open dates:

June 15th & June 16th Philly
June 17th Chapel Hill
June 18th Charlotte
June 19th Atlanta

Leads for other venues etc of course very appreciated, but I'm not holding my breath. Everyone I've talked to has said booking your own tour is next to impossible, but I sure didn't believe them until now...

Here is a snippit of what we sound and look like: link

Thanks folks!

I'm not there anymore, but NightLight in Chapel Hill will surely be happy to book you, as long as you don't mind playing for a $3 cover with a free jazz septet and a avant-garde string-band. Plus there's no one on for June 17th. Call or email immediately.

Also try contacting whoever is in charge of the electronic shows at the local radio stations, WXDU and WXYC.

While there's a lot of audio down there, they don't get many shows with a visual component. Just tell them up front in the email that you've got shit to look at in addition to music.

Thanks Otterfan! I just emailed them.

My brother in law DJs at WXDU, why it didn't occur to me to try to set something up with them is beyond me. Thanks!

emails are for sissys

pick up the phone..

Yes do call.

Yeah? I suppose it wouldn't hurt. I'll sing an example of what my music sounds like to them over the phone. Fifteen minute excerpt will probably do it right? ;)

well shit, I'm planning a gig for the 10th along with Dommm,(touring la laptop artist)

too bad you're not in the area...

booking tours suck.

also, dealing with people who book other peoples bands suck too.
i have a show (that i put together for a friend) that is slowly falling apart a week before the show because of those sucky people that are sucky communicators.

sorry, i'm just grumpy.
i wish i could help you but i am in the wrong part of the country.

june 20th - ottawa canada?
@adc I'd love to come to Canada sometime! It's a mere 7 hours away. ;-)
@j-chot where you at?
@mapmap I have enough grump for the both of us. Ho hum.

I should say too that while a huge chunk in the middle of the tour is wide open, and we're leaving in a month (yipes!) we do have some dates booked. Two in New Orleans, and one in Brooklyn: link

june 21st - montreal canada?

playing a few shows in canada would be awesome, though I couldn't plan it for earlier than late summer or early fall probably. i'd probably take the train to montreal from nyc to start - what's the train situation like once i'm in montreal?

whoa, wait...we have a show in brooklyn?

What do you mean what's it like? You get on the train, it takes you to Montreal, then you're in Montreal. Metro can be found at the end of a long corridor as at Penn.

i mean once i'm in montreal, are there trains connecting to other cities in canada? i assume there must be something, but that's the end of the line for amtrak.

also, hi bryan! yep i emailed ya about it earlier today.
